August 22, 2025
New York, NY

Infinedi Partners, LP ("Infinedi"), a private equity firm focused on founder-owned businesses, announced today that its acquisition of St. Mary's Institute for Educational Excellence (dba "Atlantis"), through their portfolio company CEA CAPA Education Abroad ("CEA CAPA"), has been recognized as M&A Deal of the Year in the $25MM-$50MM category of The M&A Advisor’s 16th Annual International M&A Awards.

The transaction, completed October 1, 2024, brought together CEA CAPA's comprehensive study abroad programs with Atlantis' experiential career readiness programs for pre-professional students. The combination expands access to transformative international experiences for students pursuing careers in medicine, law, and consulting.

“True excellence in dealmaking is defined by clarity of vision, bold leadership, and the ability to create lasting impact,” said Roger Aguinaldo, Founder & CEO of The M&A Advisor. “As the recipient of the M&A Deal of the Year award, Infinedi’s acquisition of Atlantis exemplifies these qualities. We proudly celebrate Infinedi, CEA CAPA, and Atlantis for exceptional results, surpassing peers, and setting a new standard for success in today’s dynamic and competitive marketplace.”

“We are thrilled and humbled to receive this award, which recognizes the positive impact on international student experiences unlocked by bringing together Atlantis and CEA CAPA,” said Jay Hegenbart, Founder & Managing Partner of Infinedi. “This acquisition underscores our commitment to partnering with founder-owned businesses as their first institutional investor to identify and execute on the strategic growth opportunities that create market leaders.”

The award will be presented during the 2025 Leadership in Dealmaking Summit in New York City, held September 15th-16th.
